Cruiser uses the bag in tough conditions We are cruising sailors, now cruising the South Pacific. Since we maintain a website and blog, often via SSB/Ham radio, we rely on our laptop computers. We've lost two, now, to salt air intrusion and realize that a laptop dry bag is essential equipment for us more than for many. We chose this bag after a lot of research and communication with the manufacturers and so far, it's performed as advertised. Getting ashore by dinghy through rain, chop, flying salt water, and unintended collections of salt water in the bilge requires a secure fastening system To protect the laptops, and that's what the bag has done. As a carrying bag for around town its construction and seal will be much more than adequate.

love this This is everything I have been hoping for in my backpacking life. I have not thrown it in a river to fully test but the case keeps out rain and liquids that get loose in your backpack. I can also fit some papers and my chargers in here (along with my macbook air). Another great feature is the ability to quickly grab that handle and reach your laptop when flying so you have your computer under your seat and you pack up top. This is a great buy imho.
This product is a life safe - I was on ... This product is a life safe - I was on a small boat in the gulf traveling from Panama to Colombia when a crazy rainstorm hit. With water reaching our knees in the boat and us switching between rum and a bucket to pale out the boat, I saw my backpack completely submerged underwater. It had been there for at least 20 minutes so I thought it was a lost cost. Given I thought it was a lost cause I left it there for another 20 minutes before we got enough water outside of the boat and ultimately crash landed on an uninhabited island to wait out the storm. Upon reaching our destination I pulled out my laptop to find not only was it dry, but it also still worked. And 2 months later I am typing this message from the very same laptop that this case saved. This thing worked a miracle. 1 more and it is on to Sainthood. Thanks!
I wish the sealing method was a zipper like on a dry suit-instead its like a zip lock ... I sunk my canoe, actually could have been killed, whats new in my life, theres so many times when I should have been killed on the water. lol and it worked, it saved my lap top. definitely worth the 35 dollars. get it-and Im a picky guy. I wish the sealing method was a zipper like on a dry suit-instead its like a zip lock bag. hard to close and open, but not that hard-get it,, thumbs up

Excellent Water Repelling Sheath This is a heavy duty sheath with a second layer padded interior sleeve, both well designed and made. It will work perfectly to - for example - protect your laptop or portable folding travel monitor on an extended European backpacking where we slept rough and then train trip where we slept more elegantly, where the electronics were stowed in a backpack throughout, and rained on and knocked about occasionally. The color of my sheaths matches the red pictured here. Note that this is not hermetically sealed at the opening. It is not meant to be submersed. It will protect if dampened or rained upon, but not if inundated. The outer sheath is at best as airtight as a ziplock bag, the inner padding closes with velcro. Do not expect to sink or take this through whitewater without liquid seeping in. In sum, I am very pleased with this sheath- I bought two, a 15" and 17", and both performed very well.
but it's always protected by this sweet waterproof case I bought this a year ago. We live on a sailboat and I was concerned about my MacBook having an accidental drop/slip into the water. So far this hasn't happened, but it's always protected by this sweet waterproof case. It's easy to seal up and has a secure handle to hold onto so chances are slim it will slip out of my grasp, but I have confidence by the double seal that it will come to no harm if it does get wet. I love the case and would by it again, but it's so durable, I'll have to purchase an additional computer to warrant another purchase. Great product!
I have recommended this product to all my friends who travel regardless ... I bought this before I took my laptop, via my Harley from California to West Virginia and back. On the trip back I spent 3 out of four days in a steady down pour. When I arrived back in California the only thing dry was my laptop. I have recommended this product to all my friends who travel regardless of the means of travel they use. Outstanding product that everyone with a laptop or other electronic device should have.
I bought one of these water proof cases for my ... I bought one of these water proof cases for my mac laptop because I live in the Northwest and its always wet out, it seemed practical. Not 4 days after getting it, two beers exploded in my backpack (punctured by the metal part of my clipboard) filling my backpack with beer. Everything is ruined except my $1200 computer is safe and sound. This little investment saved my ass big-time.
Great product-very functional Tested they waterproof quality before using on a trip by placing paper towel in the bag and submerging it in water. No leaks. Kept my laptop dry while backpacking and tent camping in the Alaskan rain forest. Kept my laptop from being damaged when in my carry on luggage and when packed into my backpack. Easy to access the laptop when going through TSA security at airports.
It survives the rain! When I bought this bag, I bought it with the intent that it would protect my laptop, should I get caught in a downpour on my bike. As a college student, biking is the best way to get around, and between some of my classes, the only way to get there on time. When all of my sheet music got soaked biking back from band one day, I realized that if my laptop had been in there it would have been soaked. I didn't get this bag to go swimming with my laptop, it just needs to survive the rain. I've since been caught in another downpour, and the laptop's fine. I wholeheartedly recommend this for keeping anything dry in whatever weather you please.
