Great for travel I used this bag as my luggage recently while on a 2-week trip. Works great as a carry-on bag (fits in the above seat bins on Alaska planes), and can store a ridiculous amount of clothing. I was going to a conference and visiting friends and family, so I had to pack business clothes and travel/leisure clothes. This bag easily carried both, plus my toiletries, no problem. I wasn't able to fit my laptop & a couple other things, so I brought a medium-sized messenger bag for those. If I hadn't had to pack 2 different sets of clothes, everything would have fit fine in this bag. The one downside to using this bag was that I had to unpack the entire back to access things at the bottom of it. So, perhaps not ideal as a suitcase, but when I was walking around the airport / train station / bus station I was glad to be able to carry it on my back!

TOP RUCKSACK Wasserdicht.

Great waterproof backpack. Very excellent option in wet climates. I had a perfectly functional bag before, and a rain cover to put on in case of rainy days... it's just there were so many days I didn't use it because it was a hassle to put it on. I wanted an option of a bag that would just be waterproof/resistant all the time. This bag fits the need totally. Never once has anything gotten wet inside, no matter how hard the rain came down (and it's been raining quite hard recently). It is a great size for my commute to carry lunch, and yet have room for piling in some shopping to bring home. The outside pocket makes it convenient to stash some easy to access things, and the inside pocket keeps a few things like headphones or whatever out of the way of the main compartment. Minor complaint would be the belly belt / rear stiffener combo... it doesn't really do so much for me compared to my rigid frame backpacks. Those allow me to put a lot of weight on my hips to make it easier on my shoulders. This combo doesn't really function in a similar fashion. But being not so rigid does allow me to fit the pack into my locker at work a lot better... so it's a trade off that I'm more than comfortable with. Great job Aqua Quest!!!

Bought this backpack in October 2014. I live full time on a 10 meter sail boat. Short version no boat owner should be without this backpack. Iuse it walking from the dock to the store, in a dinghy, kayaking going everywhere. The kayak I use replaced the dinghy (Aire Expedition II) My next backpack will be the same thing perhaps I can have them add an additional pocket on the outside just to look different. But it isn't necessary. five stars then and five stars now.

The pack fits nicely, the straps are well padded and I really like the huge reflective patch on the back. It is a good size for light travel, 1 or 2 nights w change of clothes, etc. I put toll change in the small waistband pockets when I'm on my bike. I had an older version of this pack from a few years ago and the new pack is built better, stronger and more comfy. The company even contacted me to find out how the bag fared and how they could improve it. Nice dealing w people who care about their gear.
