Water Proof indeed If you are a real down and dirty back pack travler, this will do what you need, yes it is sealed and will keep out water when it is sitting in it, good luck getting out of it when its sitting in water but thats just back country camping.

Great Tent! This tent is one of the best I have ever owned, mainly because it is just so easy to set up! People complain about the condensation but I experienced none! One thing I wish they would have added is a small alcove for your shoes or backpack! Highly recommend !

This is excellent. Lots of room for my clymit 30 inch ... This is excellent. Lots of room for my clymit 30 inch pad. With one or two poncho liners depending on the weather a very light and water proof tent.

Excellant Value I bought the green color version. Simple set up. Light weight. Packs into two small stuff sacks. This is a Bivy and not a tent. There is comfortable space available for one inside the enclosure. Two people would make for very cramped quarters. I bought it for an emergency snow bank kit inside of my van. If tied at the foot and head the Single hoop will stand upright with no further tie outs.

Great roomier-than-most bivy This bivy is just what I was looking for. It's much roomier inside than the average bivy. At 5'2", I can comfortably stash my pack in the foot box- keeping the rest of my gear safe from the elements and lifting the fabric off my legs for greater comfort. There is also plenty of room to read, roll over, and, with a bit of twisting, give myself a sponge bath and change clothes. While not technically freestanding, I've set this up on granite (without stakes) and found the pole stayed in place enough to continue to lift the fabric off my face. As with any bivy, ventilation is a challenge. Although there is a small mesh panel behind one's head, this seems to provide almost no protection from condensation if the bivy is otherwise zipped up. So, despite Aqua Quest's promoting this item's waterproofness, I'd be reluctant to use it in a heavy rain unless I brought a small tarp I could set up overhead so I could leave the bivy partially unzipped. Still- this bivy serves the purpose I bought it for- a shelter with a very small footprint that could be set up quickly on just about any surface in less than two minutes. Great for those minimalist trips where you plan on spending most of your day on the trail, not in camp.

Home away from home I purchased this item to be my shelter for my thru hike of the Pacific Crest Trail. As for the many shelters i had to choose from I selected this one because of it's light weight, compact storage, ease of set up and it's excellent waterproofing ability.

held up great through 40 degree nights with the right sleeping bag Finally used it this weekend on a 3 day backpacking trip, held up great through 40 degree nights with the right sleeping bag. It's great to be able to adjust the ventilation with the net layer. But I just had both the layers open and stared at the stars while I fell asleep! Great product!

Very versatile. Works well in a variety of set up situations. Will have to invest in better stakes but will not be disappointed
