Worth the price, great tarp! I bought this for car-camping with my wife, my 3yr old and my 1 yr old. The primary purpose for purchasing this tarp is to protect items outside of our '89 VW westy from the rain when we climb inside to go to sleep. This tarp has met my expectations, which is amazing (for it is a darn pricey tarp, so my expectations were very high given the cost). I have a backpacking background, I use to do Search and Rescue in which we would would do wilderness training every 3rd weekend. This is an excellent addition to a pack for minimalist backwoods hiking, it folds down very small, and I really like the integrated webbing for easy staking and the webbing in the center for easy attachment to a higher point (making a sloped cover). I cannot speak to it's durability, for mine has had minimal use and what usage it has had hasn't (did I use enough "has'" there?) been harsh. What comforts me on this particular tarp is that when I fold it up, it traps air that takes a moment to disperse (like 3 seconds max). I like this, because it informs me that the tarp has a great "seal" for not allowing air to quickly escape boosting my confidence in it's ability to repel water.

This was the tarp I wanted I've been camping since I was a kid (I'm far from a kid now) and used an assortment of cheap tarps for shelters, ground sheets, etc I decided to take a step up and this was the tarp I wanted. I haven't taken it out camping yet but I've set it up in a number of configurations and tested the fabrics waterproofing. I hate to give 5 stars to a product I haven't taken out, but I just can't get the smile off my face. This is the tarp I wanted.

Excellent for soldiers looking for a lightweight tarp for the field First off, I love the tarp. Stationed at Fort Drum and during a storm that poured down on our position for 3 days straight, this tarp kept me and my fire team, along with all our gear, completely dry. Now the only thing better than a great product is great customer service, which this company has down to a science. Had a small problem, I wrote aqua quest and an hour later I received a response, few emails after that my situation was resolved. Great product and great company Fits in the sustainment pouch on my ruck along with my wet weather top and bottoms plus more. Very very company, yet huge once you take it out. Hands down the best tarp I've ever used

Aqua Quest - Five Stars! Super easy and quick to set up. It is high quality and very packable in your backpack. Comes with a high quality stuff sack that is big enough to actually get the tarp back in...weighs next to nothing.

.. a tarp expert but I couldn't ask for a better product. I'm not a tarp expert but I couldn't ask for a better product.

Love how it rolls up into a small log and ... Love how it rolls up into a small log and doesn't make too much noise. Packs small enough and lightweight enough for our camping purposes. Appears durable. Solid product.

100% waterproof under very heavy use. And I complain when stuff isn't good...SO THIS TARP IS GREAT. I have used this outdoors at least 100 times in the last year. Heavy rain in Hawaii (no really heavy). Bicycling across the US. Mexico Guatemala and Colombia. This has stayed COMPLETELY waterproof the whole time. No water squeezing through from the force of the giant Hawaiian raindrops. I mention this, because my first "waterproof" sill nylon tarp from Hennessy hammocks was horrible....letting about 1/5 of the water in from the force of heavy rain (resulting in soaked everything in 8 minutes...hypothermia and expensive unplanned motel stays) MY AQUAQUEST TARP HAS BEEN 100% WATERPROOF ...backpacking , bicycling, kayaking and I don't take care of things properly (stealth camping in briars and thorns and cacti constantly)

Great Tarp. No Issues First of let me state that for me to give 5 stars a product must go above and beyond my expectation. That being said this item has met my expectations. This tarp is very light and packs down well. Great for hammocks as it allows for enough covering in case of inclement weather but not so much that you are unable to feel too enclosed. Enough tie out points, however this suggestion goes more for all tarps as this is a problem I personally am concerned with, is that there should be another reinforced section that runs down the long way of the tarp for those who want to set up a ridge line this way and not worrying about damaging the tarp.

Good balance of weight and durability I'm a backpacker and it's difficult to find a balance between weight and durability. This product comes about as close as you can get. I almost bought a lighter tarp from a competitor, but I'm glad I didn't. And, I like the muted color. It's much easier on the eye in the woods and less intrusive to others who might otherwise see it from a distance. I bought this to use as an emergency shelter for extended day hikes and a kitchen shelter when backpacking in questionable weather. I haven't used it for either purpose yet, but I expect it to function well and hold up to some abuse. I paired it with some superlight Dyneema tie-down cords.

Excellent light tarp 91 miles in the mountain under this tarp. Light, kept me dry. Great tarp.
